Normally I’m not a big fan of lip glosses – they’re sticky, un-pigmented, they fade quickly, and my hair always gets stuck to them. However, the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer is something of an exception.
While in the form of a gloss with the same shiny lacquer-like effect, they have the pigment and staying power of a lipstick. The pigment is ridiculous, one swipe is completely opaque, I don’t even need to re-dip the applicator to get full coverage. The doe-foot applicator is comfortable and hugs to the shape of your lips. Their staying power is actually pretty good as they do have a staining effect, although the gloss-effect does fade. However, as they’re not transfer-proof, you’ll need to touch up after eating or drinking. As they’re not a matte gloss, they touch up perfectly with no peeling or crumbling. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer is available in 13 shades on Boots.com for £6.49 (Get them here). I currently have 4 shades, Eclipse, Big Bang, Stellar, and Across The Universe.
Eclipse is a deep plum red shade.
Big Bang is a bright coral-based red.
There are many more shades available in nudes, pinks and purples. These are so comfortable to wear, and are only £6.49.
Will you be picking up any of these?
Have a lovely day x
