It has often been a source of great frustration to me that our fellow beauty addicts in America have access to such a huge range of cosmetics brands that we can only dream of here in the UK. Not only that, but they seem to have all the standard British beauty brands readily available to them too. Over here in the UK we have to pay extremely high-priced shipping just to get hold of one little lipstick! It’s just not fair!
So I did a little research, and came up with 5 websites for (most of) your American makeup needs.
First up is Sephora.com. Sephora seems to be the ultimate cave of beauty wonders (please just open up in the UK already!), and carries most of the standard US beauty brands, including Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Tarte, Too Faced, Make Up Forever, and so many more, including Sephora’s own brand. They ship worldwide, however, it does come at a price. Their shipping is calculated by weight, not a flat rate, so is pretty pricey. It may be worth sharing an order with a friend and splitting the cost of shipping.Next is Cultbeauty.co.uk. Cult Beauty is a UK-based site that offers ‘the worlds best beauty products’, selected by a panel of world-class experts. Their brands include Anastasia Beverly Hills (although sadly not their liquid lipsticks which I am DESPERATE to try), Beautyblender, Huda Beauty, Kevyn Aucoin, Morphe Brushes, and OCC Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Standard shipping to the UK is flat-rate £3.95, with free worldwide shipping on orders over £50.Next up is Love-makeup.co.uk. Love Makeup are official UK stockists of many brands including LA Splash Cosmetics (I’ve been dying to try their liquid lipsticks, but international shipping from their site is $27.95! What?!), Lime Crime, OCC, Sigma Brushes, Real Techniques, and Sugarpill Cosmetics. UK shipping is £3.50.
Beautybay.com is up next. Beauty Bay has an amazing number of brands, including Anastasia Beverly Hills (still no liquid lipsticks!), Anna Sui, bbrowbar, Dose of Colours, Gerard Cosmetics, LA Splash, Makeup Geek, Morphe Brushes, OCC, and Too Faced. Shipping comes in at £1.95, plus free delivery on orders over £15!! You can’t go wrong with that! Finally we have Cocktailcosmetics.co.uk. Cocktail Cosmetics has a great range of vegan and cruelty-free brands. Their range includes Aromi Beauty, Gerard Cosmetics, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, LA Girl USA, LA Splash, Milani Cosmetics, Morphe Brushes, OCC, Sigma, and Sugarpill Cosmetics. Shipping is a flat-rate fee of £3.95.
So there you have it. If, like me, you’re constantly filled with envy when looking at other beauty bloggers and instagram feeds of glorious liquid lipsticks, then fear no more!
Do you have your own go-to site for US cosmetics? If so, let me know! I would love to know where else to find these treasures from across-the-pond.
Have a lovely day x
